Sibling newborn photos are some of the most meaningful portraits I create. When a three-year-old big brother meets his baby sister, there’s a mix of pride, curiosity, and joy—and sometimes the best moment is a full-on giggle. That’s exactly what happened here with big brother and baby Emma in my Birmingham studio: a calm, cozy setup, a soft flokati, and one genuine laugh that says everything about their new bond.
To keep the focus on connection, I styled neutral tones with a hint of blush for Emma. We began with easy, supported poses: brother seated on the flokati, Emma safely swaddled and fully supported. We moved slowly, giving him “jobs” like counting toes and holding the wrap. The result is a set that feels natural, sweet, and timeless—perfect for an album spread or a statement wall.

Keep outfits simple and neutral so faces and connection shine. I provide wraps, headbands, and textures that photograph beautifully together, and I’ll style everything so it feels cohesive to your home.
Totally normal. I plan for short windows of attention and start with the easiest sibling pose first. Even thirty calm seconds can be enough for a beautiful, frame-worthy image.
Absolutely. After we capture the sibling image, we’ll add classic family combinations while everyone’s warm and comfortable.
If you’re dreaming of sibling newborn photos that feel calm, safe, and genuinely connected, I’d love to create something beautiful for your family. Learn what to expect on my Newborn Photographer Birmingham page and get in touch here.
