Siblings pictures are some of the most cherished images during a newborn session. Parents often wonder if it’s even possible to get a calm, connected photo — especially when toddlers are involved. But with the right approach, it absolutely is. I use gentle techniques and a baby-led workflow to help siblings feel relaxed, included, and ready to love on their new baby brother or sister.
In this session, these two sweet siblings were a joy to photograph. Baby brother was awake and alert, which gave us some adorable interaction moments with his big sister. They snuggled comfortably on my plush white flokati rug — one of my favorite safe setups for sibling portraits. You can see how much she loved being close to him already.
Whether you’re dreaming of classic siblings pictures or a full newborn session with heirloom products and guided styling, I’d love to help you plan something meaningful. You can contact me here or explore what to expect from your session on my Newborn Photographer Birmingham page.

I am married to the love of my life who has recently retired from the Army. We are back “home” after being away for 21 years. We have 3 young boys and 1 daughter who is pursuing her college career. As a photographer, I specialize in the newborns and maternity portraits. I just love the amazing process of pregnancy and then having that sweet, new bundle of joy to love. Capturing all that is so important and I feel so blessed to be a part of this special time in my client’s lives.
