First Birthday Mickey

A first birthday Mickey style was the requested theme. Emily Grant contacted me through facebook asking if we could do a Mickey theme birthday session for her little man turning 1. I had experience with that theme 2 years ago when I started my business. I showed her the pictures from that session and she got excited about recreating it for her sweet boy’s birthday.

Emily bought this adorable outfit for little John Jr and boy did it look cute on him!😍 It took a while for John Jr to warm up to me but eventually he was clapping and giggling. He was very interested in that big Mickey sitting in the background of most of these pictures.

Balloons often become a toy for babies and children to enjoy while getting their pictures taken. Mom even blew bubbles for this cutie and he sat in amazement looking at them.

I just loved how the bottom of his little shorts said “one” and caught myself trying to take pictures of his little tushy. Babies are so much fun and really get so much pleasure out of taking their pictures and playing with them while they are in studio.

I am married to the love of my life who has recently retired from the Army. We are back “home” after being away for 21 years. We have 3 young boys and 1 daughter who is pursuing her college career.
