Wardrobe

Family wardrobe can be source of stress when preparing for your newborn session! Many new parents skip the family poses altogether because of wardrobe. We highly encourage getting family poses with your newborn session. Your baby will love seeing you with them in these pictures when they are older. And, side note, they won’t care at all if you don’t look perfect! They will see the obvious love you have for them and that really is all that matters!

Neutrals

Santiago’s newborn session included family poses. They did a great job sticking to neutrals for their wardrobe. Neutrals are a great way to make planning easy, and it also helps bring all the attention to baby and expressions rather than clothing. Not to mention it is a classic look that won’t look dated over time.

Color

If you are anything like me, you love color in your pictures! What you would like to do with the pictures is very important to what you choose as your color scheme for wardrobe. If you would like to hang these portraits on your wall, you will want to consider what color decor you have in that room. We often have clients who would like to use the nursery or living room to display their beautiful portraits.

However, many clients choose to order our customized, heirloom albums. In this case, choose wardrobe colors that coordinate with the color scheme you have chosen for the design setups for your newborn. When piecing it all together, think about each person’s colors as if you are dressing just one person and what colors choices would look good as one outfit. This will simply the entire process of choosing wardrobe for you and your family.

Client Closet

For newborns’ wardrobe, we have everything in studio for your sets. We have outfits and wraps, bonnets and headbands, and even sleepy hats. If you would like to bring a special outfit for your newborn, you are more than welcome. Everything else we have on hand and is included with the price of your booking fee.
